Bring your filtered water to the boil. We like to season the AeroPress and the chamber with some hot water first. Swirl the hot water around, then empty the water out in preparation for your ground coffee.
Turn the AeroPress upside down and pull the AeroPress chamber up to the 4 mark on the main chamber. Unscrew the filter holder, and insert the filter paper, wetting it to remove any paper flavours.
Your freshly ground coffee should be finer than a plunger setting but coarser than stovetop – we recommend using paper filter. Pour the ground coffee into the bottom of the AeroPress.
Add 200g of boiling water to the AeroPress to saturate the coffee grinds and start your timer. Leave the coffee rest for thirty seconds until it forms a crust. Stir to ensure all coffee is mixed. Leave rest for a further minute. Meanwhile screw on the plastic lid with paper filter inserted.
Gently turn the AeroPress around, until it is sitting over your favourite mug. Slowly push the plunger down until the coffee brew is completely pushed through the filter. And voila – fresh brewed coffee!
